Democracy & Governance
History has demonstrated that democracy and good governance are the foundations of human security, justice and long term socio-economic development. Weak democratic institutions and poor governance systems can stifle growth and create political and social instability. International organizations are now increasingly focused on fostering democratization and good governance as key pillars of their development strategies.
Infoshare provides a range of management and technical services to international organizations working on democracy and governance initiatives to strengthen their programs and increase the development impact of their work. Technology has a vital role to play in building the capacity of civil society to more efficiently collect, manage and analyze information and be more responsive to citizen needs.
We develop innovative tools and applications to support human rights promotion and protection, elections monitoring and analysis, anti-corruption programs, civil society strengthening and enhancing citizen engagement. The tools we provide are supported by programs to develop ICT skills and build organizational capacity in ICT and information management, as well as project management, monitoring and reporting.
Over the last 5 years Infoshare has implemented a number of programs supporting democracy and governance initiatives, working with leading international organizations and partners including the Asia Foundation, the Academy for Education Development (AED), ARD Inc, CIDA, the Governments of Switzerland and the Netherlands, GTZ, the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and USAID.
